Pinch Collar

or

 Shock Collar

The Pinch or shock collar (some times called the prong or training collar), looks like an evil piece of kit, more fitted to medieval torture, but you would be wrong. As the pinch collar is designed to mimic the bitch correcting her pups, and if it is good enough for Mother Nature who are we to argue.

The pinch collar is similar to how the Alpha dog would correct any misdemeanour by a subordinate dog, by giving it a quick nip on the neck. So the action of the Pinch collar is a reprimand that is fully understood by every dog, and providing it is used correctly, will get results very quickly.

The pinch collar needs to be fitted correctly, with no more than ½ a fingers space between the tip of a prong and the dog’s skin. Pinch collars come in three different prong sizes, large, medium, and small.

Generally the small pinch collar is suitable for up to 30lb, a medium pinch collar for dogs over 31lbs to about 70lbs, anything over would need the large pinch collar. It is best to measure your dog’s neck and ask your suppler what size you need.

The Pinch Collar really teaches your dog, but needs to be used correctly.
